Crystal Palace Park and the National Sports Centre
Crystal Palace Park is famous for its Victorian dinosaur sculptures, the lake and the remains of the old palace terraces. The National Sports Centre hosts swimming, athletics and other events, and big days bring a lot of traffic to the roads around the park. Anerley Hill and Crystal Palace Park Road lead down towards Penge and Beckenham, and the drive usually takes 15 to 20 minutes. It's an easy hop for dinner, the park or a visit to family.
