When a 6 Seater MPV Makes Sense
Four passengers fit in a saloon. Five is a squeeze. Six needs either two cars or one MPV, and one car nearly always wins. Everyone arrives at the same time, nobody waits on the pavement for the second cab, and there's one booking instead of two.
Room for Six Passengers
Our 6 seaters are MPVs, laid out so each passenger has a proper seat and seatbelt. They're popular with:
- Families travelling with grandparents
- Friends heading out for the evening
- Small teams going to a meeting or event
- Parents sharing a school run
What About Luggage?
Here's the honest bit. With all six seats full, boot space is tighter than in an estate. For a local trip with handbags and shopping, that's fine. For six people with big suitcases, tell us exactly how many cases you have. We may suggest a 7 seater taxi, an 8 seater, or a second car for the bags.
Group Trips Around Beckenham and Bromley
Six seats are handy for evenings on Beckenham High Street or in Bromley town centre, birthday meals and family trips to Crystal Palace Park. They also suit sports days, from cricket at the County Ground in Beckenham to events at the National Sports Centre. We pick up across BR3 and nearby areas such as Bromley, Eden Park and Elmers End.
Families with Babies and Young Children
Baby seats are available on request. If you're travelling with a little one, mention it when you book and tell us their age so the right seat is ready. An MPV makes loading a buggy and a changing bag far less of a puzzle, too.
Station and Airport Runs in a 6 Seater
Groups heading for a train often book an MPV to Victoria or London Bridge. For holidays, six seats work well on airport transfers, whether that's a family flight from Gatwick or a city break from London City. Just keep the luggage note above in mind.
6 Seater or 7 Seater?
Exactly six people with light bags? The 6 seater is the natural fit. Seven passengers, or six with plenty of luggage, usually point to a 7 seater taxi. Not sure? Call us and we'll help you pick.
Booking a 6 Seater Taxi
Book online or call 020 3874 0223. Tell us the number of passengers, the bags you're bringing and any baby seats you need. We run 24/7, so late finishes and early starts are fine.
6 Seater Taxi FAQs
How many people fit in a 6 seater taxi?
Up to six passengers, each with their own seat and seatbelt.
Will six suitcases fit?
Possibly not with all six seats in use. Tell us how many cases you have and we'll advise, which may mean a 7 or 8 seater or a second car.
Can I book a 6 seater for a school run?
Yes. Parents often share one MPV for several children. Our school run taxi page explains how regular bookings work.
Is a 6 seater available at night?
Yes. We take bookings 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
